Crassula Ovata Horn Tree Care
Crassula Ovata ‘Horn Tree’ is a unique and eye-catching succulent variety of the classic jade plant. Also known as Gollum Jade, this plant is recognized for its unusual tubular, trumpet-shaped leaves with red-tinted tips—resembling suction cups or tiny horns, hence the name.
Native to South Africa, it’s a hardy, low-maintenance succulent perfect for indoor containers or sunny outdoor spots. With age, it can grow into a small, tree-like shrub, making it a great bonsai candidate.

Light
Loves bright light—ideally full sun to partial shade.
Indoors, place it near a south or west-facing window.
Outdoors, gradually acclimate to full sun to avoid sunburn.
Watering
Drought-tolerant. Water only when the soil is completely dry.
Use the “soak and dry” method: water thoroughly, then let the soil dry out before the next watering.
Reduce watering in winter.
