Austrocylindropuntia Subulate Care
Austrocylindropuntia subulata, also known as the Eve’s Needle Cactus, is a bold and sculptural cactus native to the highlands of Peru and Ecuador. It features elongated, cylindrical green stems adorned with sharp spines and distinctive awl-shaped (subulate) leaves—a rare trait among cacti.
With its upright, tree-like growth, this cactus can reach several feet tall in ideal conditions. It's a favorite for outdoor desert landscapes or large indoor pots where it has room to grow vertically.

Light
Requires full sun to partial shade.
Indoors: place in a bright, sunny window (south or west-facing).
Outdoors: thrives in sunny, dry locations.
Watering
Water sparingly. Allow soil to completely dry out between waterings.
Water more during the growing season (spring–summer), and cut back significantly in winter.
Susceptible to root rot if overwatered.
